Lolibrary Entries: Submitting Corrections

From Lolibrary Wiki

If you notice missing or incorrect information on a Lolibrary entry, or have additional images to add to an existing entry, you can submit corrections directly to us!

Accessing the Corrections/Submissions Form

If you are logged in to Lolibrary, you will see the following options under the main image of any item entry.

Clicking the Submit Images/Corrections button will bring you to a submission form automatically linked to/filled with the URL of the item entry you came from. (Please note that at present, you will need to sign in to a Google account in order to submit these, as it is the only way we can currently accept image submissions via the form. If you are unable to access a Google account, please feel free to let us know of the corrections or additions you would like to provide via either Discord or Facebook.)

From here, you will be asked to select the type of change request you are submitting; this will help us with implementing the changes, as well as dictate the next steps/questions the form will show you.

Submitting Additional Images

Selecting "Additional Images" as the type of change request desired will bring you to the following section of the change form:

Images submitted via this form will be subject to the same image usage guidelines that apply to all entry creations on Lolibrary. As such, if you do select a secondhand seller (Lace Market/EGL Comm Sales/ Facebook Sales Group or Japanese Auction/Sales platform) as your image source type, the form will next prompt you to confirm whether or not you have personally contacted the seller for image permission.

Please do note that images we do not have permission for will only be used if: a) A Lolibrary team member is able to contact the seller to obtain permission directly, or b) If obtaining permission is not possible and that image is the only documented option for an item/colourway. In either case, seller information will be cited as the image source in the listing, so if you can include the seller username in the source or justification field this will make things quicker and easier for us!

Finally, there is a Justification field for any notes and/or explanations you can provide as to the relevance of the images as needed. Feel free to use this field for any additional notes or information you would like to include for the team as well.

From here you will be able to upload/attach the image files and submit! Please note the file size limits per form submission; though you can submit as many separate form submissions as you would like.

Submitting Other Corrections/Information

For any other types of change request, the form will bring you to a straightforward text field where you can input any details about the changes to be made or notes to the team. Any and all sources, links and references are appreciated!
