Milky

From Lolibrary Wiki

Milky (ミルキー) was a term primarily used by the editors of Zipper magazine in the 90s to describe the style of young people who dressed in clothing from the Harajuku brand MILK, however this doesn't seem to have had wide use beyond the magazine and isn't a commonly used term outside of talking about the styles seen in Zipper magazine.[1] The style used a lot of sailor collars, plaid skirts and socks with stripes.[1]

In an October 1994 interview about what lolita fashion is, the MILK media relations person at the time, Sakai-san (プレス酒井さん), was asked what was considered lolita fashion by MILK, and they indicated that the items MILK made in 1994 that were being called Lolita Fashion in 1994 was the same type of thing that MILK had been making for a long time.[2]
