History

Na+H was launched in Kobe as a collaboration between a manager and a designer who's work the manager loved.[1] An interview published in the Gothic Lolita & Punk Interview Book in 2007 states "Seven years ago, Na+H opened a stand alone store at the same time the brand launched. There are many brands that start out in select shops and brands that only sell online, but at the time, Haraguchi felt they couldn't rely on someone else to do it."[1]

While the brand was considered Goth-Loli in 2007, at the time, when the brand launched, they said that the term Goth-Loli didn't exist yet and that wasn't the specific goal of the brand even though it's what they ended up making.[1] The brand's sales philosophy is that they create collections that show off the vision of the designer, instead of following specific trends in the industry or trying to make things based on what will probably sell.[1]
