Peppermint Fox is an Australian indie brand known for their toned-down printed dresses and watercolour-style illustrated brooches.
Concept
Peppermint Fox is a story of tea in the forest, adventures with enchanting strangers and cake with the Queen. Every collection is another chapter, and the wearer is the cute and elegant adventurer.[1]
Peppermint Fox is a clothing label which borrows its aesthetic from traditional fairy tales and the elegance of the European courts. All clothing and accessories are handmade with care and attention, using fabric designed by the Peppermint Fox artists.[1]
Peppermint Fox has a distinctive style, with charming dresses, illustrative prints and cute accessories. At its heart, Peppermint Fox is inspired by the Japanese fashion of otome-kei, a name that literally means 'young maiden'. The look of otome-kei is feminine and romantic, with a sense of delicate simplicity.[1]
Peppermint Fox is the collaborative effort of two friends. We love collecting stories and beautiful clothes and accessories. Frustrated at not being able to find designs that we loved, we decided to embark on an adventure to make them ourselves, and share them with others.[2]
History
Peppermint Fox released their first collection, Hidden Library, on November 4th, 2013.[1]
