After designer Kato Kuniko left Metamorphose, she developed a few brands to cater to a clothing market for a more mature audience, and Physical Drop is one of her more popular brands. Physical Drop specializes in more comfort wear that can be worn everyday.

Physical Drop was founded in 2010 and the first items debuted at a gallery exposition of Kato's work in March of 2010. The gallery was primarily a photo exhibition that went through Kato-san's world view, Metamorphose from it's birth in summer of 1993 to 2009, as well as her brands Love Dice 56 and Physical Drop, but there were also some clothing items on display. ^[1]^[2]^[3]
