Debuting in 1990 the brand concept of “Cuteness mixed with Poison” has been expanding Harajuku Fashion worldwide for over 25 years! This spirit of fun is the inspiration behind all designs. With a decisive sector of PUTUMAYO sales being international! They use universal designs, icons and motifs to fuse the essence of Harajuku Street Fashion with globally nostalgic emotions.

History

Putumayo, Laforet Harajuku, Cutie Magazine 1997

In collaboration with Laforet Harajuku Co., LTD.[2], Hyper Hyper Co., LTD. (株式会社ハイパーハイパー) was established April, 1987 as a subsidiary of Gim Co., LTD. (株式会社ジム).[3][4] In 1990, they opened their first Putumayo shop in Laforet Harajuku. The Putumayo online shop followed shortly after, opening in August of 2000.[3]
