Baroque ( 바로크의 ) is a Korean indie lolita brand active since 2003.
Concept
"Baroque was once a company that produced antique dresses kissed by darkness, mixing muted tones with a classic style. Now, over a decade later, we have continued to dream up new visions, focusing on both dark, dramatic pieces and original prints. No longer limited to antique sensibilities, we offer a variety of styles."[1]
History
Baroque launched in 2003 as an indie lolita clothing brand and later expanded to include original shoes, bags, and accessories in addition to their original main pieces. In 2023 they celebrated their 20th anniversary.[2]
Notable Figures
The brand has collaborated on several occasions with prominent Japanese artist and designer Sakizo.[3] In 2020, they also collaborated with Moi-même-Moitie to create the popular Church & Roses lace tablier.[4]
