Loliepe was a short-lived Japanese-language SNS website for fans of Lolita Fashion affiliated with Misako Aoki.[1]
History
Loliepe was launched in late 2010. A blog post on November 30th 2010 simply stated 'Lolita SNS started. This is a SNS for people who like lolita fashion. Misako Aoki, a popular Lolita model, is also participating. Misako Aoki came up with the SNS name "loliepe". If you are a fan of Misako Aoki, or if you love Lolita, please register."[1] Registration was free.[2]
December 7th 2010, they advertised that the idol Rin Kanzaki (神崎 凛ちゃん) had joined to try to get more people to register.[3]
December 15th, 2010, they posted that they were looking for advertisers to post banner ads on the site, and that the first year would be free.[4]
The blog for Loliepe posted about a few large events hosted by Misako Aoki and tried to get people to register for Loliepe to see the rest of the photos.[5] They also generally just advertised Misako Aoki's general projects like her accessory brand.[5]
In June of 2011, the loliepe blog posted that the JLA was looking for Kawaii Ambassadors, and the JLA required people to sign up for Loliepe to apply.[6][7] The blog made it's last post in September of 2011.[8]
