Launched in 1994 as a high end women's line, Jane Marple Dans Le Salon is based on the concept of a 19th centruy salon where artists, poets and philosophers met. The designs are created with an "artisan spirit" in mind.[2]
History
Jane Marple was founded in April 1985 by former MD Merchandiser, Yasuhiro Narita (成田保裕), and former MILK designer Megumi Murano (村野めぐみ).[2][3] In 1988, the first directly managed Jane Marple store was opened on the 2nd floor of Laforet Harajuku Part II. The brand was given the task of doing the Christmas window display for the shopping center, and continued to do it for the next seven years.[2]
