A lolita skirt is generally characterized by its ability to hold a petticoat and a lolita silhouette. For the purposes of Lolibrary, any skirt which goes the full way around the body, and is not a petticoat is in the skirt category. Normal skirts with suspender straps are typically skirts unless the brand specifically considers them a salopette. Skirts with a detachable apron front (Apron Skirts) but no back panel are also skirts. If there is both a front and back panel, the item is most likely a salopette.

Please note that the Skirt Length attribute is meant to designate the skirt portion of a dress-type item, the main Length attribute should be used for this category.
