Akinori Isobe (礒部昭徳) is married to Fumiko Isobe (磯部フミ子) and together they founded Baby, the Stars Shine Bright.[1]

In a 2013 interview with NHK world he stated "I believe there is a difference between splashy and kawaii. While people have their own take on kawaii, I personally don't want to create anything that is too conspicuous. Our policy from the start has been to offer designs that are seen purely and simply as kawaii"[2]
