Surface Spell (表面咒语)
Planning for Surface Spell started in 2002, with the online shop opening in 2004.[2] Initially the shop mainly sold ready-made clothing, but they opened a custom store in 2008.[2] The brand was formed by two designers with 10 years of experience in design and patterning for professional clothing companies. They like pearls, lace, velvet and warm textures as well as pre-raphaelite and neoclassical art.[2] They draw inspiration from mainstream runway fashion and vintage 1950s fashion photos. They believe that mixing and matching colors should not be taboo and that mixing sweet and dark, classical rock, things that contradict is not a bad thing.[2]
