Takashi Shibata (タカシ シバタ) is best known as the founder of Atelier Boz.

Life and Career

Takashi Shibata graduated from Bunka Fashion College before going to work for Mikura (ミクラ) an apparel company in Akihabara where other designers like KENZO, Kaneko Isao, Yukisaburo, and Jin Abe worked.[1][2]

After leaving Mikura he traveled to Paris for 3 years before returning to Japan.[1] He started the Lapin Agile line.[1] In 1995, he established his atelier, Boz.[1] In the early 2000s he also worked on celebrity costumes, live costumes for visual kei musicians, commercial costumes, etc.[1]
