Avant Gauche was an English-language website created by a UK lolita named Charlotte.[1] It contained resources like a list of links to lolita websites / shops and a gallery of images that were scanned from the Gothic & Lolita Bible and other publications. The avantgauche.co.uk url was established in 2003. There was also a matching Livejournal created 8 February 2003, but populated with content in March 2006[1] which is still online today.[2]
History
The site initially launched with a list of links which was hosted on a different domain. [3][4] The links page originally credited the defunct Luscious Dilletante Site, and indicated that the list from that site had been used as the base list.[4][5] A gallery was added in late 2003.[6]
