Moonrise Theater is a Japanese indie brand launched by Marina Yamada in 2019.[1]

Concept

The brand concept is:

"A romantic small theater that opens with the moonrise”, we produce clothes and accessories that are somewhat nostalgic and adorable. Clothes that would be worn by the inhabitants of the stories that I dreamed of when I was a girl. All the products we sell are original. We are making it with the wish that the young lady who wears it can spend a special day. I hope it will be a special piece that spins a story that makes your heart beat fast.[1]

History

Moonrise Theater is the work of designer Marina Yamada who Graduated from J. F. Oberlin University. After working as a sales clerk at a long-established Lolita clothing store and at a major sewing factory, she officially launched "Moonrise Theater" in 2019.[1]

Tips for Identifying Pieces

As always, we recommend searching Lolibrary first both by item number and by any relevant tags/features. If neither of these bring up the item, the following are some tips for researching the mystery item, though you are always welcome to ask for assistance in the Lolibrary Discord, or the EGL Research Center or What is that dress? Facebook groups as well.
