There are currently 30 active possible attribute fields available on Lolibrary, so we've created a handy guide you can use both for item research and entry creation purposes! For item tags or features, please refer to their respective guide pages: Tag Guide | Feature Guide
Garment Measurements
![](https://lolibrary.global.ssl.fastly.net/wiki/thumb/OPMeasurements.jpg/300px-OPMeasurements.jpg)
Official measurements from the brand’s website. Included “cm” if it’s in cm. Use the ‘ or “ notation for inches / feet for American brands that give their measurements in inches.
If an measurement is a range, denote it with a dash between the two measurements like:
82cm - 102cm
If an item comes in multiple sizes, you can enter measurements like:
S: 38cm | M: 40cm | L: 42cm
Or:
S: 38cm / M: 40cm / L: 42cm
Bodice Length
—
Bust
The size of chest the garment can accommodate, indicated the measurement at the widest part of the bust going all the way around. If half/flat bust measurements are given (typically 50cm or smaller on an adult garment), double them.
Cuff
![](https://lolibrary.global.ssl.fastly.net/wiki/thumb/PantsMeasurements.jpg/300px-PantsMeasurements.jpg)
The diameter of the opening of a sleeve or pants cuff, typically when fully buttoned.
Sleeve Length
-
Sleeve Width
—
Hem Circumference
The length of the bottom of the skirt, measured around the hem. Typically a larger measurement here indicates a fuller skirt; some brands will include this measurement to better demonstrate the fullness/amount of fabric included in the skirt and the style/amount of petticoat it can accommodate.
Hip
—
Inseam
The inner pant-leg seam measurement (typically from the center of the crotch to the bottom of the cuff)
Length
Full length of the garment.
Neckline
Uncommon, but can be used either to show either the neck circumference a collar can comfortably accommodate, or the depth/width of a standard neckline.
Shoulder Width
—
Skirt Length
The length of just the skirt of a garment that is not just a skirt, from the waist to hem. Used for dresses, coats or salopettes that have both an overall garment and skirt length given.
Thigh
The thickness of thigh the garment can accommodate, indicated by the circumference of a cuff/pantleg opening that sits at approximately thigh level.
Waist
The size of waist the garment can accommodate, indicated the measurement at the narrowest part of the natural waist going all the way around. If half/flat waist measurements are given (typically 40cm or smaller on an adult garment), double them.
Owners' Notes
Measurements taken by a secondhand shop, you, or someone on Lace Market can all be entered as Owner’s measurements. Cite in the Notes section when possible. Feel free to submit these for existing listings via the entry's submission form!
Owner Bust
Bust of the garment measured off of an actual piece.
Owner Height
I think we started out putting in the measurements of the humans, and then changed to human’s measurements of the items, so this measurement may be phased out shortly.
Owner Length
Length of the garment measured off of an actual piece.
Owner Notes
Any notes about quality, fit… anything strange the owner notices. It all goes here.
Owner Underbust
Underbust of the garment measured off of an actual piece.
Owner Waist
Waist of the garment measured off of an actual piece.
Shoe-Specific Attributes
Please see the Shoes item type page for more information on features and attributes specific to shoe entries.
Heel Height
Measured from the ground to where the heel attaches to the base of the shoe.
Soles
Attribute no longer used; please use the sole material tags (wood/foam/rubber/cork) as applicable.

Handle Length
Typically used for bags and umbrellas.
Height
Not to be confused with garment length, or the height of the model sometimes seen on stock photos. This attribute is typically used for the height of hats, bags, novelty items and other types of freestanding items.
Material
Any details about the material composition of the garment/item goes here. (Be sure to add any relevant fabric tagging as well!) When possible, separate different things as best you can with commas or other punctuation. For example: Main fabric: 100% cotton | Lining: 100% Polyester | Lace: Chemical Lace
